x1900 mobility latest win7 drivers??

I have been at this all day.. I have downloaded the update to the modder, and the drivers from ATI's site, and GURU 3D's WHQL Win7 x64 drivers, but the only one that i can get to work on the laptop is the mobility drivers that win7 sees by default...

I tried modding the files but then it says when i try to manually install the drivers in device manager that there not for this version of windows?!?!

any ideas?

Alienware m5790 w/ x1900
Win 7 Ultimate.

all x1xxx series of ati cards/mobility and below are not supported at all..

you can try and force the vista x1900 series driver... but be forwarned....

i installed driver x1800 on my alienware m5750 on vista with modder with no problems. But i upgradet to windows 7 and have the same problem. some here write that their x1xxx card works but no of there f.a.q. works for me. there must be way
