HOW up dedicated MEMORY SIZE FROM ATI RADEON
Hello i have Acer aspire 5050 laptop and i download dh mobility moder and i try to mod my ati radeon xpress 1100 hypermemory videocard dedicated memory size up to from 256 to 1024 it doesnt up my memory amount i have 4gb ram.it takes form my ram and i install windows7.
How i can up my memory max size?

you cannot increase memory by any other means than adding it physically. imagine you would run an app to increase you RAM - impossible. and GPU's dedicated memory is equivalent to RAM.
hypermemory is system RAM being shared by the system and the GPU - the GPU takes how much it thinks it needs, when it needs it (although mostly it reserves a certain amount of RAM permanently, even if not used). the MM function to "increase" video memory is not an increase, but a bug correction, since sometimes ccc doesnt recognize the full amount of video memory - the MM fix solves that, but thats no increase of memory. also, even if you could increase the dedicated memory (even hypermemory) of your x1100, it yould be useless since the gpu core is far to slow to handle that much memory. for 1024mb vram you should have at least a 800mhz core - eg. radeon hd4870. |
