HL1?
try copying the opengl driver (atioglxx.dll or so) to the gldrv folder (then modify the ini file inside respectively, ie. change the reference to the new opengl driver). also, reset all gfx settings, best with "-autoconfig" at the launch options and look at your ccc settings - there might be something on (like adaptive AA etc.) which causes the crash. |

Re: Need help with ATI Radeon Hd 3650
go to c:/windows/system32 and look for the atioglxx.dll file > copy it and paste it into the gldrv folder inside steam/steamapps/<your account>/half-life/.
then open the drvmap.txt file and paste: Default Default gldrv/atioglxx.dll OpenGL Driver or just change 3dfxgl.dll to atioglxx.dll ccc settings are your Catalyst Control Center settings (right-click on your desktop and it should be the first option with the ATI red icon). there go to advanced options and tick all the "use application settings" inside the 3d settings tab on the left. also disable adaptive antialiasing, and try moving the catalyst AI slider to the right (>advanced). |
