Everyone please post which drivers for mobility hd 2600 you have had success with!!

There is an absolutely massive amount of stuff online where people are looking for an updated, functional driver for this card. I currently have it, and it is a good quality card, but sans a recent driver it doesn't do you much good.

I primarily play World of Warcraft, which im getting good performance in, however, I also play Darkfall, which when i first start the game i get some artifacts. Its only when i first start the game, and if i ALT TAB it goes away, but I am pretty convinced the artifacts are coming from the old driver because I am monitoring my system temps and the GPU temp is absolutely fine.

I would like a current driver that will work well with both games and improve my performance without giving me BSOD or any crazy stuff like that. If anyone has found a quality version of catalyst and has had success modding it, please talk about what you used and what applications work on it.

my '07 OEM version gives me great performance with no real problems on World of Warcraft, I'm just getting an artifact at the start of the game(usually on one skin only) which disappears after alt-tab. Its not that big of a deal i just wonder if allowing this driver problem while playing this game might affect the long term life of the card. There is a huge base of people with problems with the hd2600 mobility, so we, as a community, need to discuss a solution for the driver for this card. It's a high performance card and no one is getting their value with these old drivers.

since i got my hp 8510p notebook (mobility radeon hd2600 256mb gddr3) each official driver with ccc worked perfectly for me. in the beginning (8.x to 9.2) i used mobility modder, now (9.2 to 9.7) i mod them manually. everything works great, no artefacts/errors or unexpected performance drops at all, nowhere (only when switching to non-compatible resolutions some color anomalities occur, but i use the wsxga+ display's native resolution 1680x1050 all the time, so theres no problems at all).

I am using Acer 7720G Laptop with a HD2600 Mobility. SO far the only one perfect driver for it is the official driver provided by Acer website. I believe the driver version is quite old, but it is the only one driver I can play games in 1440*900 full screen mode.

i use the base drivers for my asus a7k if i use any other ones my laptop will just shut down for no reason.

I've patched, with the modder, ccc (version 9.7) and works fine when playing WoW. I have a Mobility Radeon HD 2600, ofc.

I must say i have patched them 2 times cause the 1st time didn't end in a good result. Anyway, anyhow now that 9.9 is out i'm not sure if go for them.

I have an asus a7k and have to install the official asus driver because, like the fellow above said, If I install other version the notebook shuts down >_< ( I play WoW and AION)

I am having a toshiba satellite A200 series laptop which came with an ATI mobility raedon HD 2600. While i was playin batman arkham asylum the display got corrupted so i decided to update all the drivers. I first uninstalled all the drivers, used device manager and uninstalled the display driver also used driver sweeper to remove all ATI display drivers. Now when i try to install the new drivers nothin is happening when i check device manager it is showing only standard VGA graphics adapter. I have tried installing the old drivers again but still nothing is comin. How do i solve this how do i get the card to work again. I have windows vista home premium 32 bit.

Vista 32 SP2. I have had success with modded drivers up to version 9.7. Have not been able to install 9.8 nor 9.9 - Those always give me a 'failed to install' and then a loveley BSOD on boot-up pointing to atikmdag.sys
