Mobility X1700/firegl5200 new driver

Hi everybody,

i am new here and have a problem with my laptop graphics card.

I am using the mobility modder for modding the drivers to fit my x1700. I usually mod the driver and then edit it so the system recognizes the card as a firegl by hand (its for CAD)

This workaround is working for the 9.2 ATI drivers very well. But newer drivers couldn't be modded. After the installation the system always complains that

"...there is no suitable graphics card installed in my system or the driver is not working correctly."

This occures with every driver wich is newer as the 9.2 i think.

Anyone here with the same problem or a hint for a sollution?
