xp64 with a mobile radeon hd 2600

Hi

I own a gateway m-series laptop whitch has a radeon HD 2600 mobile video card. AMD havnt yet released any drivers but for windows 7, and the only working catalyst is the one from gateway, on windows xp x86 with mobility modder or on vista "as is". I tried to use the x64 vista catalyst with the mobility modder but the modded instaler says that the device isnt present... Same with omega driver, and catalyst for xp64 (general catalyst application) V.9.3 or 9.9. What i can comfirm is that the mod tool works with xpx86. Is there something i could hit at that would make the installer moded gateway hd2600 installer to work? :P

So, with the windows 7 drivers, i didnt get a "no hardware found" message whitch probably means that it actualy *did* find the hardware. But of course CCC and all canot launch so thats not quite any useful to me yet.

Thanx to whoever released "ATi Catalyst™ 9.1 Mobility Driver [XP x64]" this package, found "elsewere" :P

Hi,

I canot quite guess why but when a so-told working xp64 hd2600xt have been released on some drivers news websites, and that i installed it... My radeon drivers became unuseable. And even if i dryclean it and reilstall ATi Catalyst™ 9.1 Mobility Driver [XP x64], the drivers keep on failing....

Is there any technicals i could join up to the thread to help being helped? :P

(the substitute package that caused the crash was 9-10-mobile_xp64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_mod.exe )

(currently trying to dryclean all drivers and retry the 9-10.exe package just in case it would work)

After a reboot, i was used to this popup box saying

already before i first succeeded with catalyst 64, Yet i at least succeeded into removing catalyst from desktop's rightclick menu :P )

I'm retrying the 9.1 one before radicaly trying again the other driver that has been pushed here like oil in a gas tank...And it now, and since the problem restarted, but not when it did succeed, says that the driver isnt validated by microsoft's logo stuff thing... I cancelled installation because i know it will fail again...

Mayby when i first succeeded, i did mayby overwrite another third catalyst set with the upper 9.1 one whitch could have caused an unexpected success?

-gon have another dryclean then go for the other version-
