Windows 7 and Ati Mobility Radeon HD 4570

Hey,

I just got a new laptop with a Ati Mobility Radeon HD 4570, now i installed windows 7. Everything worked fine except when i try to play games with. I tried World of Warcraft on low which my laptop should easily can handle but it just dont. I tried several drivers also with the mod you guys offer. I really like windows 7 and want to keep it but playing World of Warcraft is also nice

. Hope you guys can help me with fixing it.

Sorry if i put this thread in a wrong forum. I also tried google and this site but cant find a solution.

ATI's official Windows 7 drivers haven't been finalised yet. I'd suggest waiting a week or two for an update.

that 4570 should handle wow at high settings..i had a 1950pro set on high for wow playing smooth so when the drivers are finalized set it high...

MobilityModder supports both Windows 7 and Radeon Mobility 4570, so I'd try that.

Thank you for the fast response. Done the modder already. Though there maybe was a other way. Guess i need to wait till windows 7 comes out officialy or the drivers come up. I should get it from ati site or windows update then?

Always go for official drivers. In my experience, Windows Updates give you screwy drivers that don't work properly so I haven't used any graphics drivers from WU for about 2-3 years now. I don't find it's worth even risking when I can just as easily pop to the official site and download their drivers.

Installing drivers is not the same as installing Ati Catalyst right? Catalyst is just software since when i install latest version for 4000 series from ati site it aint asking if i really wanna continue which they always when installing drivers right?
