Modding drivers to support 5830 mobility chips?

Okay someone told me there was a tool here somewhere that can modify the Cat drivers so they will install on laptops. I have a new Envy 15 coming and its going to have the 5830 mobility on it. The 2 questions I have are:

1. Will the mod app work to add support for the 5830 &

2. Where exactly do I find the modding app?

Sincere Thanks
Jess

You probably have the latest - or almost - drivers already, considering how new your gpu is.

1.- The mod tool doesn't support your gpu yet.

2.- http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php

The problem is, if I want to do a complete drive wipe and then install Win7 x64 Ultimate the HP site doesnt have a video driver download yet

They are probably included in the recovery partition, or within the drivers/recovery discs that come with it. Besides, the driver should be up there soon enough, maybe by the time you receive the laptop.
