Sony Vaio + win7 64bit = can't install drivers !

I tried to install the drivers on the topic ( ATI Mobility Radeon HD 10.3 for Toshiba and others sad. ) for my windows 7 64bit version, but they don't show up on my computer. The installation completes successfully (no errors), but the target folder has no files. GPU-Z shows them as not installed as well.

I'm trying to install some display drivers that actually work on this laptop and windows version (just to view movies, gaming is not that important), but these don't seem to the OEM drivers are only for vista 32bit, so I think I can't use those.

Anyone knows what might be going on, or has any other solutions to install some display driver on my vaio laptop ?

Thanks

Your VAIO has a Radeon x2300 acording to the Device ID. Your GPU is now classed as Legacy. There are no official ATI Mobility Legacy Drivers for Win7.
You need to try the Mobility Modder method on the Desktop Drivers.

I was in your position. I am really angry that sony doesn't support ati in the driver issue.
I followed this link & it got the job done.
Quick HOWTO install newest ATI drivers (9.12)

Also see my post in it.
