ATI Mobility FireGL V5250
Hi together,
I have got an Lenovo T60 CPU C2D 7600, 4BG RAM, UXGA Display and an ATI Mobility FireGL V5250. Currently I am trying to run Windows 7 64 bit on this Notebook. However I have a problem with the ATI driver. Lenovo does not provide a suitable driver for my ATI Card with Windows 7 yet. Neither for 32 bit nor for 64 bit systems. Therefore I was trying to follow your instruction regarding Ruud Ketelaars Mobility Modder. I have tried to modify all versions from 9.3 to 9.12 of the ATI Catalyst Driver Software, but unfortunately with no success. Even the install procedure is running well with a positive message at the end. After the reboot I get always the message that no ATI Driver has been installed. My question of course, if anybody has some experience with the same constellation. Thank you for your assistance. Regards Believe. |

Re: ATI Mobility FireGL V5250
I agree, I have the exact same problem. T60P, Win7 x64, FireGl V5250 video chip, and Mobility Modder will not work to make a valid driver that stays after reboot. If anyone can help, please let us know! I can't run dual monitors, or do anything GPU intensive right now, or my system crashes.

Re: ATI Mobility FireGL V5250
today i've fixed my HP nw8440 equipped with V5200 under Windows 7 Professional x64.
I've used HH ATI Mobility Modder 1.2.1.0 + Vista64 legacy ATI driver Catalyst 10.2. i hope this helps.

This worked well on my ThinkPad T60p (model 8741). Although Windows 7 does offer a Microsoft-signed driver, it does not offer strong 3D performance. The modified Catalyst 10.2 driver works substantially better. |
