I can't update my 3470 HD drivers!
Hello there! I started playing GTA: San Andreas recently. The game crashes when I swim underwater. I e-mailed Rockstar Games support. They told me it was because my video drivers were outdated, and told me to update them at ATI's website.
I already tried updating my drivers by using the mobility modder on here, without success (this was a long time ago though). Anyway, I thought I'd give it a try again. First I tried doing it without the mobility modder. I followed ATI's video tutorials. Everything worked fine, until I was prompted to reboot. Like the last time I tried it, everything seemed to be fine. Until the welcome/log-in screen was supposed to show up. I heard the sound it always makes, but the screen remained black. I then turned off the computer and booted it in Safe Mode. Then I *think* I did a system restore. Tried updating using the mobility modder. That didn't work either. Went through a lot of fuss trying to get it to work. Then I gave up and did another system restore.
I really need to update my drivers, but I do not wish to go through this hell again! Please, help me. I will provide you with my dxdiag-info.
