Sad ATI Mobility 4650 HD

Alright, I bought BRINK recently and I ran into this problem with OpenGL.

I ran a program that tells me about my OpenGL and it turns out I have OpenGL of 3.0 and I need 3.1 to play this game.

So I search for driver, and it turns out ATI does not support Mobility 4650 any more for whatever reason.

So I found this:
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php

I download the thing and I tried running this. I am not too sure how it works. I need someone to take me through this.

System Spec:
OS: Vista 64
Spec: Centrino Duo 2.00 GHZ
ATI Mobility 4650 HD
6gb ram.

This is what I did so far,

1. I turned off the UAC, and restart my PC.
2. I use the mod tool, and find the setup location for the ATI driver setup.
3. Run it. and install teh driver
4. Re-check OpenGL viewer, nothing changed, nor the driver version.

Can someone please tell me how to deal with this issue.

P.S> do you need to download 'desktop' version of the ATI driver? or the notebook version? does it matter ?

Re: ATI Mobility 4650 HD

I'm having the same issue with that game and I have similar specs. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: ATI Mobility 4650 HD

you should be able to download and install the Notebook drivers from AMD unless you meet one of these criteria that is listed in AMD's Release Notes:

A) you have switchable graphics.
B) your notebook was built by Toshiba, Sony, or Panasonic
C) your notebook is newer than the driver

In which case if you aren't in the above list you should be able to update your driver from here -> ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

Otherwise follow the other link from LQDForce.

Hope you can get your driver issue fixed.
