Viable Desktop Driver for Lenovo T60p

Hi all, I've been using MobilityMod to utilize desktop drivers on my laptop. I have a pretty old one, a lenovo T60P running Windows XP 32bit, my graphics is an ATI Mobility Firegl v5250. I successfully used the mod before, but when I tried to use it for the most recent desktop drivers (11.7) from the AMD site nothing changed. The tool said the folder was modded but the driver and CCC remained the previous version.

I'm wondering if the newest drivers are not compatible with either the mod tool or my laptop, or if I made a mistake along the way. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated!
