Mobility M6 running Omega

Hi all.

I have a Dell SmartPC 510 laptop with Mobility M6 graphics card.

I have just downloaded and installed the Omega 2.6.05a driver.

Everything works fine but in the control panel I have no Direct X or Open GL settings. I have rotation, overlay, smartgart, vpu recover and the usual others.

Is this usual for this graphics card or is there something wrong with the driver install?

Any help would be much appreciated.

This is not common and looks like a bad install. You could try a simple reinstall (meaning just install the same set over the top) or you could try a clean installation with drivercleaner www.drivercleaner.net

However I said in another thread in here that those drivers arent new, and omega will have a new set released shortly, however in the meantime I suggest you try the route of deinstalling the current set, get new drivers from www.ati.com (id go for the set without CCC right now to test). then mod the set with www.hardwareheaven.com/patje our mobility modding tool.

Thanks for your help Zardon.

Had real trouble uninstalling the omega driver, even with the driver clean prog.
I somehow managed to conjoin the ATI, omega and original dell driver into one!!

I had the dell driver with ATI and Omega options in the control panel!!!

managed to get it working now though with the Omega drivers as it didnt like using the ATI drivers, kept saying a error occured during installation.

Looked like the problem was the Radlinker app didnt install with the Omega drivers so thats why the Advanced 3D options were not there.

Again, thanks a lot, Im sure I will be back on this forum soon!!!
