hey guys
Last couple of weeks I've purchased a new ASUS A4000K Laptop various specs: AMD 64 3400+ 15.4 Wide screen ATI 9700 Mobility DVD Burner blah blah blah MY PROBLEM: I'm having issues running aparticular game - Battlefield 1942, in particular, its mod, Desert Combat. Everytime I load into it, it seems to 'lag' I can't work out why. Its like its major lag as if I was on a 56k connection online. I've tried it single player and EVERY single option I've screwed round with, nothing works. I installed the latest Omega Drivers, still no joy. I've also updated my BIOS and done a CPU Hotfix. The weird thing is, it will play every other game at medium to high resolution. EvenHalf Life 2 and Counterstrike Source I can play at almost max resolution without a problem, very smooth and looks great. Yetwhen I try to play Desert Combat which is considered almost a dated game now I get glitches? I'm pretty cluely with computers, but new to laptops so any light shed in thsi area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, Matt |

i'm running the latest Omega drivers,
I've just spoken to a mate, he rekons that I need more ram, came with 512mb ram, but he says on a laptop, Desert Combat needs at least 768, so i'll get some more and see how that goes. Matt |
