"clone mode"
I have an nVidia chip on my desktop and on it - when 2 monitors are connected there are a few options on how to deal with it, span which streches the desktop over the whole area, dual view which gives one monitor preferece and gives the second desktop space but its totally modualr (can move it around the second if you need, with its own res. + freq.) and then theres clone, which copies the first totally.
Is this an option on the 9600 mobility? i have had a number of presentations lately (power point) and can not get the 9600 to behave as such, it always just makes a Second desktop like dualview. which for MY idea is the best, but for presentations i need to see whats on the screen and being displayed, not my taskbar :P what am i missing? Thanks! |

Although I never had the MR 9600 I have had mobile cards older (MR 9000) and newer MR X700) and you should be able to do what you are talking about with yours, are you using CPanel or CCC to chose your screen settings? You might just not be activating them right in either control panel.

if you go to the settings tab in display properies is the "extend my windows desktop onto this moniter" checked for the second display, because if it isn't then it should work just fine like you want

Ah ha - someone with the same question as me.
I'm after a clone mode too. My problem is that in the office i use a 19" TFT with a 1280x1024 native res. My VAIO laptop can only handle 1024x768, and i get a horrid panning virtual desktop on there if i set my gfx res to 1280x1024. If i click the 'extend desktop to this monitor" setting then i can independently change the res of each screen (so my Mobility 7500 is clearly capable of running two displays with different resolutions), but there is no clone option anywhere. Any ideas? Hi all btw ![]() El. |
