Blue screen on MR9700

Hi, I'm trying to install the latest Omega Drivers (Radeon Omega Drivers 2.6.25a (Catalyst 5.4)) on my Dell Inspiron 9200 (Ati Mobility Radeon 9700). But I'm completly unable to.

After installation I get a blue screen on windows startup and the system reboots quickly (not letting me see what's on the blue screen) after the blue screen.

The weird thing is that the same happens when I install the latest official dell video drivers, blue screen on startup too. I have the lates video bios and tried everything on clean xp install. What could be wrong ?

Thanks

System Specs

Welcome to the forums

Disable reboot on System error, through Control Panel - System - Advanced - Statup And Recovery/Settings - uncheck "Automatically restart". Then take note of what error you are getting.

Make sure you have latest chipset drivers installed prior to installing the drivers, and also try experimenting with FastWrites On/Off in Omega setup

It seems to be crashing at the ATI2DAVG.dll module. Happens with all newer ati drivers, even from dell. I'm under the impression that it has something to do with the particular screen resolution my lcd panel has (1440 x 900)

:p

It was just some stupid thing in the BIOS. The screen strech option must be turned on in order it to work.
