Call of Duty = crap fps, United Offensive = good. wtf?
Ok, so I have a hp nx9110 with a mobility radeon 9000
Installed the latest catalysts (modded), and installed Call of Duty plus the United Offensive expansion plus latest patches for both. Framerate in CoD is like 2-3 fps MAX, whereas United Offensive is bearable (guessing 25fps - how do I show FPS in CoD?) Anyone have any ideas why this might be? I though an 'expansion' on the original would at least use the same game engine. Makes no difference if it's single or multiplayer, and I've tried tweaking everything towards 'performance' in both opengl and directx settings. Even tried overclocking a bit with Radlinker with no discernable improvement. Surely this machine should run CoD OK? I had a crappy laptop with an Intel IGP and it ran CoD better than this. ![]()

i dont know where cod keeps its config file, but you can try removing it and see if that helps you.
