exclamation OpenGL and Omegas WORK with FireGL mobility!

I got it working! I had to remove all the Omega' s custom tweaks in the .inf of the driver and now, after all, it WORKS for my T41p Notebook (mobility FireGL T2). So the problem is not the driver itself but Omega' s custom hacks in the .inf! Omega? Will you fix this in a future release? Your drivers claim to support this card but they just don' t completely work out of the box at the moment.

I thought they got improvements from ATIs own drivers for CAD so isntalling the default ones is going to give you worse performance in CAD right?

I don' t care for CAD because I don' t use it. But I care for OpenGL based games! The Omega drivers do not work when it comes to OpenGL and my mobility card (FireGL T2 mobility). So I looked for a solution and I think I nearly found it. It' s Omegas custom tweak section in the .inf file of his driver. If i remove it, the driver works correct. Sure I loose his tweaks but what is the use of tweaks if the whole games does not work with em enabled?

Omega, please consider bugfixing your tweaks section in the .inf file!

???

Tweaks included by Omega may not be compatible with all cards , with all configurations. So installing omega drivers may result incompatibilities with cards. But this doesn't mean those tweaks must be removed from packed directly.Out there , there can be some people that need speed . The best way is to include a tweak preferences section to present user tweak choices

System Specs

What exactly was the problem to begin with? OpenGL not working at all?

Yes. Some cards do, some don' t. Mine does not by default.

The .inf File already has the possibility to configure things for each card individually. But Omega does not use this "feature" in his driver, he just applies the tweaks in a common section. Main reason for a common tweak section is just being lazy...

I've seen it and think that its a good notebook for CAD and general work, for games there are still very nice cheaper and better performing laptops.

But in addition to the fact that he is already doing a lot of work with what he does, and the fact that adding more things to the .inf file (even things for other cards) slows things down a bit doing the changes to the common area is something he has every right to do.

If you have a problem with how he does his FREE drivers and how he does this fantastic service for the comunity with very little compensation then just use either the drivers from IBM or those from ATI and use the modder that Patje has put out the work to make and is constantly working on improving.

Sorry to get so riled up, but calling Omega lazy because your unique video card (as in very different from all the other Radeon Mobility cards) doesn't work right with his stuff is a bit rediculous.
