Problems with WoW and Mobility Radeon 7500C

At random points during gameplay in World Of Warcraft, i recieve a Blue Screen. It says something about an error with ati3d1ag.dll .
Sometimes i can get an hour of gameplay before i get the "Blue Screen Of Death", sometimes i can only get 30 seconds.

I tried downloading a new driver off the ati site, but the Catalyst (or however you spell it) wont install.

If anyone knows of any fixes for this, i would be very gratefull!

Would you please let me know what you have learned about this problem? i have a Mobility Radeon 7500C integrated into a Dell Inspiron 5100 (a real workhorse), and am ready to start WoW. My driver is ati2dvag.dll, version 6.14.0010.6371, dated 7/29/2003, which is the latest version that Dell has. I am trying to determine whether any more recent update exists, but could not find any yet. Will this 7500c work well for Wow? I'd be grateful for any information!

Dell XPS and ATI Mobility 9700

Dell drives me crazy. I buy this expensive tank of a laptop the XPS, and Dell's drivers for the video card are archaic. They also tell me I can't upgrade the Mobility 9700 to the 9800 though that was one of the selling points at laptop purchase. I cannot play EQ2 hardly at all on the XPS despite 2 megs of RAM. It's the video card/drivers. Yet you cannot download new drivers from ATI site since the program checks the laptop and tells you that it (Dell) is not approved for the (new and better)video drivers. Any insight on how to get the game running well on a laptop that is clearly beyond the minimal specs would be greatly appreciated. Also any drivers out thare that can be used on the Dell XPS for the ATI/radeon mobility 9700 would be fantastic. Thanks so much.

I think you can use DH Mobility to install the latest Catalyst drivers on your laptop. I've heard it works well but I've never tried it.
