I'll back to windows xp 32bits because i havent some drivers like fnbuttons, wifi, asus apps, ... I've sent a email to asus and asking them when they'll have support for windows xp x64 because i bought a laptop with a amd 64 it was to take advantage of 64 bits technology. Thank heavens linux has support for amd 64, linux rocks!

I'm, also interested!
I got an AMD 64 Turion 1.8GHz and an ATI mobility x700. I was unable to get this card up and running. I installed new driver, update xp, but it won't work.

Let me know about your tool! I got xp32bit version.

Downloaded the latest Catalysts, tried the mod tool, and got the Richtx.OCX error; but after placing the ocx in E:\windows\system32 (I dual-boot x32 and x64) I still get that error.

*Update: Booted into 32-bit Windows and it ran fine, will attempt modded drivers in a moment under x64 environment. . .
**Update 2: Mod worked! I'm unsure why the modtool didn't want to cooperate under x64, perhaps it is because I am dual-booting with the x64 version not in the "C" partition.

I tested it on my Acer Aspire 1501LMI with Athlon 64 DTR 3000+ and ATI Mobility 9600.
It works fine for Catalyst 5.8 on Windows XP 64 build 3790

It doesn't work on my Fujitsu-Siemens A1650 (Athlon64 3200+, ATI Radeon Mobility Xpress 200 chipset)... I had to modify inf file manually...

@Samir: The xpress200 doesn't need to be modded, it is supported in the normal catalyst drivers.

samir, my bad, u were right. the 64-bit drivers need to be modded.
I'll try to get that card in the list with the new modtool before It get's launched

I have been having all types of problems with the video drivers for my laptop in the last 8 months. I was kind of pissed when I first bought my laptop and the drivers were less than useable. Now finally there are some drivers available that do not suck because of this mod tool.

Recently I installed the Catalyst 5.9 Windows XP Pro x64 (5-9_xp64_dd_ccc_26412) using your mobility modding tool, DH Mod tool V3,and every problem I had is now cleared up, and everything is working fine. Thanks again! Now it's time to pwn some n00bs.

My laptop: Win XP Pro x64, AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 17.0" WXGA TFT, 128MB ATi Mobility Radeon 9700, 1GB DDR400 RAM.

Hmmm, new modder doesn't work for me again!!! Too bad! It modifies inf for Mobility Xpress 200 but pnp id string is not PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5955 as it is in my system... Had to remodify inf file manually, again...
