Help! Mobility 9700 Hitman/GTA3 crashes

I have a mpc transport x3000 running 1.6 ghz and 256mb ram with a radeon mobility 9700 64mb video card. After playing both hitman and GTA3 for no mode than 5 minutes my screen sort of washes over then lines and bars show up and the whole system crashes. I have the newest Omega drivers and i dont kno what to do. Any help would b really appreciated thanks
