turn 16:10 to4:3

hi

i want my display to not stretch the view of 1024 or 800 res to full screen on my widescreen(1280*800) display.

, but the infos dont help me, cause i dont have a "lcd panel" in my display tabs.

Im using the original drivers from acer , cause the omega dont work for my x700.
I really seeked all options and the whole internet till now and i hope you can help me.

Welcome to driverheaven realsmasher,

Have you tried using official Catalyst drivers using the modtool, cause they definately have the LCD Panel option in them for laptops, and then in that section change the settings accordingly.

For further clarification, after you install the drivers as per yoda's post, go to Display Properties -> Advanced -> Displays. There should be support for like Monitor, TV and LCD or something along those lines. Click the big Gray label (probably Panel in your case) and under panel attributes de-select "Scale image to panel size".
