I get 35-40 (depending mostly on which drivers) with everything on max, 1440x900, 6x AA, 16x AF.
Outta curiosity could you post more detailed specs to compare to.

I get 50-60 settings on high with specs below, and my FPS hit 145 once on prodigy, that map is the best for FPS, I get like 70-90 there. I never drop below thirty except when C4 explodes.

um...yeah I think so, cause my computer isn't so much better than you to beat you that bad, (as you can see, in fact with the extra 128 mb you should maybe beat my scores).

when is the last time you reformatted, it could just be that you have a lot of junk built up, running in the background etc. (I know many people that have MANY things running in the background and then complain that their comp is slow), that should solve your problem, but it might not be worth it to you, and is a rather drastic solution (I personally like reformatting every other month or so, but i'm wierd).

No the x700 chip is alot better than the 9800 one, so the extra 128mb won't really help all that much, and anyways Source engine is very efficient so, you only really need 128mb.

I doubt I will beat your scores, I'm not even sure why I get such high FPS in cs:s lol, when I overclock the FPS goes up by like 30 lol.

umm i dont have doom 3, the only other game i can compare with is battlefield 2, dont know what fps i get, but with all the settings on high it is not very playable, i run BF2 with 1024X768 with everything on medium and i will get the odd choppyness.
I really thought reformatting would solve my problem. Could it be a hardware problem with my card?
My computer is under warranty for one more month, so if it is hardware id like to get it changed asap :P
The only this is i ran diagnostics and it didnt find any errors

hmm. if you only have one more month of warranty you might want to get a claim started so you're not left out if it is a problem, (and it very well may be). cause your system should be able to handle source with no AA or AF (look at nitrous's system he shouldn't be embarrassing your computer like that), it might just be hardware problems. What brand/model laptop you got?

hmm...i dunno, but if you are getting drastically lower scores on benchmarks than you should even after a fresh reformat (eliminating software probs) then you have a hardware issue, and there isn't much they can say to deny this. so i don't know what to say about this, maybe someone here with more knowledge about this kinda stuff than me can help us out some more.

Could there be something i have enabled that is robbing me of performance, such as in the ati toolbar? or maybe a ram problem?

On 1024x768 settings on high, trilinear filtering, and no AA i do 93-94 on 3 times doing the stress test, I don't play much CS so i don't have a clue about this map vs that map.

Definately a possibility, probably not ATi toolbar, but it could be something else.
I'm reminded of my campus minister who plays CS:S with about 50-75 background apps running at a time, (and he then wonders why it looks and runs so much better on my computer , of course he plays with a touchpad so there is no helping him ). What drivers are you running.

have you tried the official Cats it isn't common, but some people see better scores with them than with omegas, use the ones with CCC if you try it so you can use Catalyst AI, that could give you a boost, but you shouldn't be that low with any new drivers.

That would probably be best, as the newest cats are the best.
