installing CP's from different drivers?

So i got 5.7 loaded with a good CP now
is there anyway JUST to load in a driver?
Dells works a little better, but everything else is A-ok, i was wondering if in VGa/Safe mode i could replace the ati2dvag.dll just to change how the driver works but nothing else, that all seems fine
(screen flickeres on/off when you open it, dells doesnt, but cp is very old and limited)
or if someone can mod a 5.7 not to do it

:Thinks: damn i wish i knew more programming!

System Specs

Select "Custom" when installing official drivers, and just select the drivers (you can not deselect them anyway) but you can uncheck the control panel.

Or just get slow-connection Drivers-Only package from ATI.

well no, that wont work, because that overwrites to many things, and messes up the CP
did it a few times
i think im gonna safemode it and just copy out the driver
see if that does anything
