help for mobility radeon x700 gfx card

Hello DH people

I've just bought the Asus W1v with the ATI mobility radeon x700 gfx card.

I love what it can do but when I'm attending classes the fan noize is to lodu.
Can anyone please give me some suggestions how to control the noize level.
Is the Omega configured ATI Tray Tool only for performance or can this help me?
I've read that the prog. SpeedFan might be usefull, have anyone any experience with this prog.?
thanks in advance

speed fan is good stuff, but I'm not sure if it supports your mobo or card, just have to try it out and see. Do a google search for "fan control" or something, there are 100000000 programs that do that sort of thing, its more about support (something not great for laptops) than anything else.

Welcome to DH btw, enjoy your stay.

thanks for the advice and the welcome. This looks like a forum I could end up spending a lot of time on
Im not a big fan of just trying random programs of a google search, especially not with my new wonder machine
I think I will go ahead and try the speedfan
If you or anyone else have more suggestions there most welcome
