Ati Mobility Radeon 9200 crashes

Hi. First of all, sorry but my english is bad. I'm an spanish boy with a little bit english knowledge.
My problem is that my pc crash while i'm playing some games, for example, gunz online or carom 3D. The screen and computer freeze. Other games run correctly. Only crash with 3d games and i don't know what's wrong.
I've a compaq laptop (intel pentium IV) and ati mobility radeon 9200 graphics. Drivers are lastest omega driver (catalist 5.8).
There is any know issue about this?
Has anybody same problem?
Any suggestion to fix it....?

u mean to say, u have ati mob radeon 9200 with catalyst 5.8. WOW. as for what i know, no one can get cat 5.7 and 5.8 installed on that graphic card. can u pls help us and tell us how do u install it?

I've heard of the problems with the 9200 and cat 4.8. I would suggest going with 4.6s or so. With an old card, you aren't going to get much or a performance boost with new drivers, so older ones wont hurt you (except for ones with specific game bug fixes). Don't forget to do a complete uninstall using drivercleaner pro (follow the instructions, run in safe mode, etc.). If you are still having problems, write back.

Uou, i think that i didn't nothing special to install these drivers. I downloaded it from omega drivers, and uninstalled the ati control panel. After, overwrite the previus drivers with 5.8 version, as is explained in the installation instructions.

Thanks. Really I hadn't thought about it. I'll try to install some previus version of the drivers (4.6 or 4.7).

I expect not to have problems installing/uninstalling. Thank you for everything.
