Help 345m...WoW

hi I have a sony vaio laptop (PCG-FRV37) its pretty nice, It came with 512 ram but I up'ed it to 1gb, I know it has a 345m and my question is, dealing with world of warcraft. this computer is great and everything, execpt I can't seem to get my settings right and not lag without my graphics looking crappy. I really need some help would the driver from omega be the best one for me if so, maybe tell me some settings to change to were I could kick my graphics to look good and still play nicely without lag...Thanks a ton guys

The graphics card is a Radeon 345m I believe? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing?

Well it's an on-board video card so I'm not too sure how high you'll be able to crank up those settings. Then again, I don't know much about mobiles but just thought I'd throw in my two cents.

Your laptop is a pretty strong unit actually. I'm thinking your 'lag' problem has more to do with your internet connection and/or programs running in the backround than your hardware settings... What is your internet connection method (modem, cable, DSL, etc...) and speed? Also, could you describe a little better what the 'lag' is? Finally, what programs are running in the backround while you are gaming online?

I usually only have AIM going, but by lag I mean I get about 8 FPS, when good running is about 20, and thats a HUGE difference...When I hit the resolution to 1024X768 I get the 8 fps...I run DSL I'm not sure how fast it is, I don't exactly know how to check my connection speed...and sup of the graphic options arn't even aviable..Like the shaders and the "Death Effect" different stuff that I wish I had

Honestly with wow ... you really need a dedicated video card... it is a killer. Even on my x 800 i get stuters when in cities with lots of people. It is more of the game then the system. I can run it on my 32mb 9000 mobility but i have to turn everything down and forget going into town. That is with ANY driver.

ohh and Ctrl+R shows your FPS in wow... i think... lol forget.

Has WoW ever run better on your unit? If it has, what changes have been made since the game was running well?

Is tehre any 3rd party programs that allow you to tweek the video card settings?
