Hi,
I recently bought an Asus W1Vb notebook with an ATI Radeon x700 video card (128 Mb DDR). The LCD monitor of my notebook has a native resolution of 1680x1050, at this resolution all works fine. Instead switching to a lower resolution, above alla in videogames, at the bottom of the screen appears a white line. I installed the lastest Catalyst 5.9 but this not solved the problem. I also installed Omega drivers based on 5.9 but after windows starts the notebook freezes in 30 seconds. Somebody has the same problem and the solution Help me please Fusion |

Installing CCC helped me solve this problem on my acer 8104
If i use normal control panel i always get a white line, with control center it works fine. (at least on 5.8, didnt try 5.9 yet) |

hi akein,
i have a serious problem and i hope you can help me. i'm in desperate search of an x700 128mb mobilty bios, because mine is defective. dumping the bios (writing it to a file) takes 2 minutes. all you have to do is download ati tool ( http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/ATITool_0.24.exe ). fire it up, go to the misc. settings and select dump bios.. dump it twice please so i atleast have one working copy, and then zip it up and send it to the email address i have stated in the private message (check your inbox!) thanks buddy |
