This is a repeated issue for many users. I have read many threads and many web sites looking for a solution for this issue. Call of Duty will not load a map. I get a couple errors.
1st Error: Faulting application coduomp.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module atioglgl.dll, version 6.13.10.3061, fault address 0x001a35dc. Then, Cod freezes & Crashes to desktop and says CodMP.exe failed to respond The game will load a map then the laptop will lock up. That error occurs with the ATI Drivers. Mobility Fire GL 9000. I have tried many drivers. Most from the computer manufacturer. I currently have SP24097 downloaded and installed. I have spent about an hour on the phone with HP and they have not been able to properly help the issue, I have gone through tech support through Activision and they have not been able to help me. 2nd Error: Faulting application coduomp.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module atioglgl.dll, version 6.13.10.3061, fault address 0x001a35dc. Then, Cod freezes & Crashes to desktop and says CodMP.exe failed to respond The game will load a map then the laptop will lock up. That error occurs with the ATI Drivers Mobility Radeon 9000. Same issues as the 1st error. In fact they are probably both the same driver. just named differently because of a different setup procedure. If i delete all of my display drivers, CP's but leave the ATI Directory in my C:\, then reboot, the laptop will reboot and install the display drivers automatically. But the display driver will say ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, But if i delete all my display drivers, CP's and delete the ATI folder from my C:\ and reboot, the laptop will automatically install the display drivers, but the display driver will say Mobility Fire GL 9000 3rd Error: Could not load OpenGL. Please make sure you have the latest drivers from your comupters manufacturer. Activision actually gave me the link to a driver from this website. Omega Drivers. I have tried them and then i get the above error, I responded this error to Activision and they basically said they cannot help anymore because its not an issue with the game, but an issue with the hardware and i should contact HP. For some reason nobody knows how to fix this. I know that someone out there has a fix for this. Im just looking patiently for the fix. My computer specs are: Compaq Evo N800w CPU - Mobile P4 2.2ghz Memory - 512mb GFX - Mobility Radeon/Fire GL 9000 Game w/ issue: Call of Duty & Call of Duty UO w/ patch 1.51 Right now my display driver is Mobility Fire GL 9000. Any help will be appreciated. |

As far as i know i have tried all the modded updates. and as far as all the regular updates i have all my drivers updated from HP
Video Drivers From HP: Softpack #'s: -- SP24097 -- SP26223 -- SP23680 Those are the latest video drivers from HP. I have them all and have tried them all. These drivers make my laptop lock up and have the error of: "Faulting application coduomp.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module atioglgl.dll, version 6.13.10.3061, fault address 0x001a35dc." I got this error code from the Event Viewer in Administrative Tools. --------------------------------------------------------------- I have also updated my chipset from HP. The drivers are: Softpack #'s -- SP19568 -- SP24847 -- SP25800 Those are downloaded and i beleive 2 of them are actually installed. --------------------------------------------------------------- Modded Video Drivers: -- rad_w2kxp_omega_2671 That is the only modded file i know of at this point. and i have it & have tried it. This modded driver gives me the error of: "Could not load OpenGL. Please make sure you have the latest drivers from your comupters manufacturer." If you or someone else knows of another modded driver please let me know. I have other pc's that i can play this game on, its just that i would like to try to get it working on my laptop. Its a challenge i have been working on for about a month now. Any help, please let me know. Thanks |

well, i guess this is where i become a noob lol. Not sure if i use the mod tool properly. I have the Cat 5.9 file, but the mod tool is confusing to me, i tried using it & all it did was pull up a dialog box saying "Do you want to install these drivers?" and if i click yes, nothing happends. maybe i am using it wrong? but if not then i guess i can say i have tried that and it didnt work

Well, i tried it again just to see if maybe i skipped something the first time i used the mod tool. and it did the same thing. asked me if i wanted to install the drivers, i said yes, my laptop did something, but the mod tool box dissapeared and that was it. How would i know if it worked? Would the catalyst show up under the Advanced menu in the display properties?
I tried call of duty after i used the mod tool, and now it dosent even load the map, the bar gets half way there, then my laptop locks up Yea..... As far as the HP drivers being 2 years old, i dont think that matters, As far as im concerned the game should work on them. They are the latest from hp. I have even tried getting drivers from ATI and i have had no success there either. I have downloaded a few files from ATI too, and have found nothing that helps. Cat 5.9 5-9-igp_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_sb_gart_enu_26409 tried that and it failed to install, i tried the mod tool as described above, and no success. Oh yea, and one more thing.. On the ATI Site, there are 2 sets of Cat 5.9. Theres Cat 5.9 & Cat 5.9 Mobility, i have Cat 5.9. Cant download Cat 5.9 Mobility because it downloads a file to see if the file is compatible with your system, even though i have Mobility GFX, it says its not compatible... is there a way i can get around that lil compatibility file?
