Problem with battlefield 2 on mobile catalyst 5.10

Hi, i have a mobility radeon 9600pro with 128mb of memory and mobility catalyst 5.10 installed. all games like black & white 2 worked and CSS but there is a problem with battlefield 2. when i start it either from xfire or from the desktop, after the blank screen, it comes back to the desktop. this only happens with the latest mobile catalyst because with the dafault display driver that came with the 17" clevo laptop works perfectly

. Can some one help me in any way pls? or suggest me something? thanks
