Problems with upgrading driver for M9700

Well I bought my laptop (Hypersonic-PC CX-6) about a little over a year ago before my freshmen year of college. I never looked into upgrading my drivers until now but it seems I am having some trouble. When I install the most recent omegas (5.9) or the latest Mobility Catalyst (5.10) they do not seem to support my laptops resolution (1280x800). Anyone know why or have some recent drivers that will work for me? My system specs are as follows:

Processor: Dothan 1.7Ghz
Video Card: Mobility 9700
Ram: 1GB PC-3200
HD: 60GB
Screen Res: 1280x800

I have identical set up as you, except my screen is 1680x1050.

The resolution in the advance tab in the display property doesn't show my resolution, however CCC shows it and allows me to set it.

Hi.
Omega just released his own drivers based on Cats 5.10a. Taking a look at the changelog, he just included custom laptop resolutions and specific code for widescreens, (1280x800, for example).

Take a look at his site
