hi, last day I was thinking if anyone in the forum could contribute in making a guide to explain some small triks to make the computer a bit faster ( activating or deactivating some aspects of the game or IN THE SAME WINDOWS!, like booting windows, deactivating 3D sound, etc.), then the game would be more "playable" (more extra FPS), 'cause it's not the same 64 of VRAM in a desktop that in a laptop.

I think it would be a great guide for beginners (like me

, jejeje).

FIRST EXAMPLE

seen in this forum): to liberate some RAM you can use part of your HD to use "as RAM": go to Control Panel/System/Advanced options/Performance(button config)/Advanced options/virtual memory (change).

There is a great site called TweakGuides that probably answers most if not all of your questions. Also, do a google search for BlackViper, that will explain services that you can turn on and off to get a performance boost.

Tweakguides has the TweakGuides tweaking companion, a great little PDF that is all about computer optomisation, give it a look.

For best graphics drivers, give the Omega Drivers or the DHZeropoints a shot. They can be downloaded at http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/. You can also use the Mobility Modder to install the official Catalyst on your laptop. Dont forget Driver Cleaner when installing drivers to get the best performance.

also, I beleive you are refering to the page file, which is a requirement to run windows XP. There are many thoughts on this subject, search for it, and choose what is best for you.
