pliz help a nub with OMEGA DRIVERS for his ATI RADEON 320M IGP cuz im havin problems
yea sup,
i just recently installed the omega drivers cuz i also just bought World of Warcraft but inside the game the graphics sucked completely. on the wow site it told me that it requires the latest drivers for my video card. by the way i have an ATI radeon, but its a laptop. http://www.emachines.com/products/p...eMachines_M2352 this here is my pc. well anyway i tried lookin on the official ATI site, but they dont have driver updates for my pc. later i learned that companies usually dont release driver updates for laptops. i was pissed lol. but then i heard of omega, so i thought id try it out. well they work awesome in WoW, the graphics rock now but the only problems ive experienced so far is when i try to run ATI tray tools i get this message: Error! Unable to retrive information from BIOS! Please report to developer about your board! hehe well i have no idea what that means but i dont really care about this problem, ati tray tools i can live without. but the problem im pretty worried about is that when i pop in a dvd movie, its real slow, like the framerate got chopped in half. also the resolution is really low. i havent been able to fix this no matter how hard i tried. do u kno whats wrong? also im nub here and i didnt see any "help forums" so sorry if i posted this in the wrong place. id really like to get this fixed tho, in a way that i can keep the omega drivers, cuz without em i cant play WoW! which is an amazing game by the way. any way i did see this one thing in the omegadrivers faq, it said that "i installed omega drivers but now my pc crashes when i try playing a movie or dvd..." it said that its a hardware problem, and that i need to update my BIOS. they apparently can be found at the manufacturers website... great, emachines doesnt even exist anymore. where the hell am i gonna get BIOS update... by the way i decided to post sum things i see in the dxdiag "System" tab: operating system: Microsoft Windows XP home edition (5.1, build 2600) system manutacterer: eMachines. Inc. system model: M2352 Series. BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0 processor: Mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+, MMX, 3DNOW, ~2.2GHz Memory: 448MB RAM Page file: 270mB used, 785MB available heres the "Display" tab: (this is in the "Device" section) Name: RADEON IGP 320M (Omega 2.6.75a) Manufacterer: ATI Technologies Inc. (Omega 2.6.75a) Chip Type: RADEON IGP 320M AGP (0x4336) DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz) Approx. Total Memory: 64.0 MB Current display mode: 1280 x 800 (32 bit) (60Hz) Moniter: Generic Television (this is in the "Drivers" section) Main Driver: ati2dvag.dll Version: 6.14.0010.6575 (English) Date: 10/13/2005 22:11:22 WHQL Logo'd: n/a mini VDD: ati2mtag.sys VDD: n/a DDI Version: 9 (or higher) these are the settings after i installed omega. As u may kno, machines got bought by gateway, so I doubt ill be able to update my BIOS… maybe if any of u are like pc programer pros or sumthing u could tell me where I can update it? or maybe get a different driver update? i wanna play WoW and watch DVDS so bad... Help would be greatly appreciated… |

IS THERE REALLY A NEED FOR 4 THREADS, THE EXACT SAME POST AND TOPIC????? NOT COOL! A MODERATOR TOR NEEDS TO LOCK THOSE OTHER THREADS http://www.hardwareheaven.com/mobility-radeon-drivers-support/90145-pliz-help-nub-omega-drivers-his-ati-radeon-320m-igp-cuz-im-havin-problems.html http://www.hardwareheaven.com/hardware-discussion-support/90143-pliz-help-nub-omega-drivers-his-ati-radeon-320m-igp-cuz-im-havin-problems.html http://www.hardwareheaven.com/laptop-notebook-general-technical-forum/90142-pliz-help-nub-omega-drivers-his-ati-radeon-320m-igp-cuz-im-havin-problems.html ..................... this is some what common, some have video issues, some have power saveing isues, etc... Why? becouse you can't make a generic driver for all setups as the MFG dictates diffrent features and settings at a firmware level. It's a chatch 22 you going to have to deal with. If you had a newer video soultion you might of gotten around it. As ati is working with some laptop mfg's and does make some mobilty drivers. Though the support is limited... With that said what media player and version are you useing? if it Media Player 10, make sure you have version 10.00.00.3923 Try useing media player clasic try getting a codec pack (like kazza lite mega codec pack 1.38) make sure you've got all your windows updates
