Emulator not working when driver is installed! Help!

My N64 emulator does not work when the driver is installed. I get the following messages: "Direct 3d failed to initalize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured graphics card compatable with direct3d 6.0." Then "the default or selected video plugin is invalid. Check that you have at least one compatable plugin file in your plugin folder." Then a settings thing comes up with some plugin options or something. When I uninstall the omega driver, everything works fine. Is there a simple solution to this? Thanks!
