Mobility Modder Issues on HP Envy

Hi all,

I'm running an HP Envy 15 (though increasingly wishing I wasn't) and only recently learned of the reason why ATI drivers from the AMD website don't seem to work. It was causing BSODs on startup and I had to keep rolling back to the original drivers.

Following the Mobility Modder instructions exactly, the program modded the driver files extremely fast (almost as if it didn't actually mod the files), but the driver installation and BSOD problem continued as if the drivers were never modded. I've tried using drivers 11.8 to no success, then 11.7 also to no success. I'm currently using the rolled back drivers but although I can still run certain games fine, my Photoshop no longer recognises any graphics card on my system, so I really need some kind of fix...

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit on an HP Envy 15 notebook with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 graphics card. Any help that anyone can givewould be most welcome...
