Looks like this is going to fix the issues that we had with this board.
As Bingo13 mentioned the new BIOS should be out soon on Asus' website.

Bingo, the original BIOS version that was on my board was 0201 I flashed foward to 0307 then back to 0118 after the NDA lifted. none of those fixed the issue. the latest one 0033 has. I noticed that many sites were using timedemo benches and not in game testing. but I cannot say that about all of them.

Great news, glad it also worked for you.

It's now 8pm (20:00) in Taipai and no 0311 BIOS on ASUS site (USA or Global)

In fact, still only 0201 listed.

Hi to evrybody,

big thnx to DH, specialy to Veridian3.

I refresh evry 10 Seconds the ASUS Downloadpage but still nothing there.

If the BIOS is official available soon, like i can read here, why DH do not host the file and give us a link? We r sitting here and cry.

The time we waited is long enough i think. Sorry for that, but i want to start playing as fast as i can

2 Weeks without CSS and BF2 is too much for me. Little girls want to have evrything fast.

Best greetings from south germany
Steffi

I will find out from Asus-usa when they are in. I will also install and test Quake 4 to see if I encouter any stuttering.

this will be later this evening though.
As an update I ran the board for over 5 hours lastnight switching back and forth between the 3 games (HL2 BF2 and COD2) and ran PCMark05 in between each, I encounteded no issues.

I will post back about Quake4

As I explained earlier there are certain agreements we have to enter into to work with these companies on a close level. We dont break these with any company, it is not just a matter of a legal agreement it is a matter of ethics. It is up to Asus to release the bios to its end users not us. We have tried to push it as much as we can and to ensure they are aware just how many people need this bios. I can safely say due to the efforts and work of Veridian this has been accelerated substantially.

Im sure it wont be long, most companies like to test bioses as much as possible internally before releasing to the public, even in a "beta" status.

Asus may have the worst website on the planet.. it is always down, or slow, or wont load. You would think a company like Asus could afford alittle bit of bandwidth for thier download section..its so slow.

My board works without the bios, I have been gaming on it for a few days now, maybe the bios will make it better, but its fine now.

I do however score the same with or without crossfire enabled..

When Asus release the bios or give us the go-ahead, we will mirror the bios for everyone to help. we have several 100mbit servers and serve over 3 terrabytes of drivers each month so it should be a lot faster........ ok?

0207 was a fairly clean bios in terms of the timing issues in our testing. There was some thrashing in Q4 but not the stuttering experienced in BF2,HL2, PCMark05, HDTach or others with the later bios releases. We found other issues that came down to a combiniation of the Realtek HD drivers (use 1.31), ULi SATA drivers (use 2.13), Catalyst (use 6.3), and the AMD X2 (use the amd driver), X1900 CrossFire , and certain RAM types (BH5 based modules showing the worst issues followed by the Samsung UCCC). We still experienced a little thrashing in Q4 at the Ultra settings but the balance of the issues are generally solved with the 0311 release. We (as I am sure others) are providing Asus with further test results this morning before the bios goes public.

Zardon u r so wonderful. Searching for a girlfriend?

I understand the reasons that u do not release the BIOS befor u have the OK from ASUS.
Sorry again for that. But i think u know how stupid it is to have a "highend" machine and can not play your favorite games and so can understand us / not only me.

We r waiting......zzzzZZZzzZzzZzzZZzZzzz

Could it be that evrybody is refreshing the ASUS Downloadpage now?
Mine is getting slower and slower...why is there no counter? Could be funny.

Sweet little kisses

0207 failed to work with 3 differnt CPUs(OPteron 146 and 170 and an FX-55) and I updated or changed every driver possible.
There is a laundry list of components I swpped out. it is too long to list here.
We are also going to be mirroring the new BIOS when released as I am sure it will be in very high demand.

No issues with an Opteron 170 (it went to 2.9 at 1.45V on air), FX53,55,57,60 or even the Sempron 64s with several different video card configurations. Maybe our 0207/0211 was a different spin but the 030x series definitely took a step back. Oh well, the majority of the items are corrected now.

Yes that is what is important, I do hope that Asus does release the BIOS soon though, we are getting people asking for us to give them 0033, :S
I have not OCd the board yet. that will all happen this weekend, I could not get through the standard testing until now.

0311 is the tested and official release. 0033 was an earlier beta to test things like the PCmark fix.

People should only update to 0311...
