2 DVD BURNERS help PLEASE!
Hey guys Im getting 2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827101010
Should I keep one on slave and one on master to get good performence? or set both to master? AND..... Should I Use one Ide ribbon to connect em both? I have primary and secondary Ide slots open since my Hard drives sata ,so should I connect one to primary Ide slot second to secondary Ide shot? or connect em both to 1 ide shot? Thx for help! |

If you have two IDE's free, then make one master on each, two cables, especially if you want to work two drives together. Use 80 wire cables, as most drives these days can work at UDMA3 or UDMA4 (80 wire cable required).
The only time I would pair two writers on one cable, is if the alternative was a conflict with another drive that could be busy at the same time. 2 free IDEs, 2 drives = 1 on each, no reason to consider any other arrangement at all.
