Bios Update For EVGA 680i Board
There is a new Bios update for EVGA's 680i motherboard (P25) and the way I had been updating the BIOS was through Nvidia's Updatecenter software. The reccommended way to load this new Bios is by Floppy disk. I know longer have a floppy drive in my computer. What other options would I have or just go ahead and keep using the Updatecenter? Thanks for your advice in advance.

if you have no floppy drive, do one of two things:
1. wait for the next bios update that can be done through windows. 2. use the USB flash drive method 3. if you can some how manage to flash the BIOS using the update center software, DON'T!!!. other wise, you'll be getting a happy "- -" on your LED display. That basically means RMA time .

I flashed mine using the updatecenter.. but some people have had problems with it.. The famous "--" error..
If you're on P23 and need to install Vista, then you need to flash. If you're on P24, then wait for next update...

yea, there really isn't any differences between the p24 and the p25. There isn't anything that NEEDS to get taken care of between p24 and p25.
Just some voltage thing, and setting two of the auxilary fans to "on" in the BIOS is all that happened. |

Thanks for the help, guys. I'm on the P24 right now, and will wait for the next update that allows use of the Updatecenter.

go to www.evga.com > click on support > click "download drivers" on the left hand side > select "mainboards" > select "BIOS updates" > select "NF68/NF63 - Intel 680i SLI" > click "go" that's it. it will take you to the BIOS update page for the NF68-A1/T1 and NF63 (680i SLI SE) boards. if you have the 680i SLI LT (NF67) then you will select "NF67 - 680i LT" instead in the third box. |

search google for a program called Daemon Tools. once installed you will be able to load up the *.iso file. once the *.iso is loaded up, you can then use somethg like nero to burn the disk. Daemon Tools makes your computer think that the *.iso file is a physical cd rom disk
