For prompt info on many of motherboard's BIOS, onboard devices drivers, firmwares and utilities, on both final released and BETA softwares,
you may want to try this site -- page special drivers then if you desired you can get the softwares from makers directly later on. |

I'm glad to know that. I'm always the cautious one when it comes to a 'see all/give all" type of website. I've encountered too many snares and traps through the years.
![]() So, since I don't have a house full of motherboards, it's easier to just go to the main source.

lol Tips i happened to post the info of the station-drivers.com/, not those sites.
and for Asus's, Asus still leaving the FTP open to public download (asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/), so users can browse the server directly for new files, as some may not know. |

OK...Now I'm going to let you in on the secret as to why I was looking for BIOS and Driver Updates for this motherboard.
![]() I've noticed a HOST of PCI standard RAM Controllers in my Device Manager/System Devices list. I've never seen so many!!! ![]() Since this board is an Nvidia 650i SLI board, shouldn't the RAM controllers be NForce controllers? I've updated the BIOS and also updated the Chipset drivers. The latest Chipset drivers I can find are from January of this year. But, with all the updating I've done, I'm still seeing all those Standard RAM controllers. |

never seen anything like that lol, but i've never used any nvidia chipset yet.
however, there must be a reason why many same registry entries do exist in there. |

Actually, the chipset I've installed is from FEB. Version: 8.43
I've just never seen so many instances listed. Of course, I'm mostly used to using Intel boards, too.

i have to quick google for that lol , for "duplicate PCI standard RAM controller" and it seems like it's there for a good reason and it's normal.
check for more info on this again yourself. |

When I Google for that -- with the quotes -- the only hit I get is for THIS thread on DriverHeaven!!! LOL!! So, Mr. PangingJr, if you have a link to some information, I'd love to see what you got.

Maybe PangingJr meant the post from "Hat Monster" in this thread?: Swapping your board without so much as a reinstall (243kB of images, updated Jun '06) - Topic Powered by eve community

I got adventurous and simply Removed all the instances of the PCI standard RAM Controller.
![]() When I rebooted, Windows put them all back. ![]() And, NO, I did NOT simply replace the motherboard. I did a clean format of the system drive and installed Windows completely fresh just a few weeks ago. |

my guess (and use some small common sense) is that, all those duplicate entry are just some generic system devices, that don't really require drivers for, and there is a good reason and not a bad thing for all those entry to be there. or otherwise, the Windows whould act up on you already. but it's still only a guess.
