Network help.
So I am not as good with network stuff as I am other hardware
Go figure eh?Anyways the maximus has shit for layout of PCI and PCIE 1x slots, and my card is a monster and eats up all the good slots. But to the actual question, my old card is a 1000mbps PCIE 1x NIC, now the onboard Marvell Yukon is only up to 100mbps, will I see a difference in my connection between these? I havent a clue, and networking standards are confusing at times lol |

Is the switch that your computer connected to 1000 mpbs (gigabit) capable? If so, you'd see a difference.
However, checking the specs, both LAN ports on that board are advertised as gigabit capable, you should be able to get 1000 mpbs from the Marvell port if your switch supports it.
