Memory for Gigabyte MA790FX-DS5

Can anyone give me a hint on what mems are the best for said motherboard?

I moved the old Apacer ones from my previous motherboard to begin with but they don't feel like the best possible option, I'm sure I can find mems with better performance and stability. I know to little about mems though so I'm hoping someone can help me out a bit and tell me which ones to get to maximise performance and allow for a better overclock.

I found this on the CORSAIR page:

Welcome to Corsair :: Memory Configurator

Gives a number of options for that board.

Hmm...

Question is, does the Athlon 64 X2 5200+ support 1066 mems? If not then I'd better wait to buy new memory until I get a new CPU.

All I know is that the Apacer ones I have now does not overclock well...

Edit to add: No it doesn't.. so the question is, do I buy new memory now.. 2x1 Gb 800MHz isn't that expensive but then I have to buy new ones again when I upgrade the CPU.

if you do get 1066 ram, it should still wok, just running at the highest frequency your cpu allows

PandaZ3 is on a distinguished road

I agree I would buy the Ram I think I am going to want and then wait on the CPU. Only one Ram buy and I should be satisfied with it using either CPU.
