2100 memory and Athlon XP Chips

Hi am thinking of upgrading my pc!
Was wondering can chips using the barton core run on pc 2100 or does it have to be 2700!

2700 or higher would be highly recommended. And if you think you might want to overclock later, you should consider 3200.

Does that mean no go with pc 2100! on a barton chip which i know uses 333 bus!

pc2100 would have very little chance of working, since by default it runs at 133MHz (DDR266).
Since the xp2500, xp2800 and xp3000 Bartons have a 333MHz FSB, you'd want at least DDR333 memory (aka pc2700).
