Ethernet Controller Driver?

Hey. My MB is

MICRO-STAR INC. MS-6728 2.00

I belive don't have the Ethernet Driver for it as when I connect a cable to it, nothing happens on my computer, but the light is on at the board.

I found that I might have to re-install the BIOS or somthing. But that just sounds scary and I didn't want to risk it without a second opinion.

Can I install the driver seperatly?
Where do I find the right one?
If i re-install the BIOS will it fuck everything up?

Thanks!!

OK, one of two things.

First, you should have gotten a CD with MAINBOARD drivers. The driver should be on that CD. You can try installing it from there. If it isn't there of you don't have the CD, you can probably find the driver on the Micro-Star web site.

Second, if you have installed it, and you most likely did if you installed the MB Drivers fron the CD, it's most likely not ENABLED in the BIOS. You most likely need to go into the BIOS settings, and look for the section for Integrated Peripherals, and set OnBoard LAN to Enabled.
