Stupid 2.41's not reading Copy protection

Hey installing the new 2.4.1 Nforce2 drivers for winXP I can no longer start C&C generals! Says please insert the correct CD. So apparently someting with the drivers, my bet is the SW IDE drivers, won't read the copy protection correctly. I'm not the only one having this probloem my buddy with an Asus a7n8x Delux also has the same problem. Way to go on that strategic partnership Nvidia and EA!

Doesn't happen on mine, with a a7n8x 2.0pcb and the 2.41 drivers, maybe you try one of those backup cd files so it doesn't need to access the cd.

hmm you may have your transfer mode set as PIO apparently, the new 2.4.1's have issues with safedisc games. NVnews has a big long thread about it switching the cdrom mode to PIO fixes it, but why the hell should you ave to use an old ass standrad like that?
