M7NCG does not boot after bios reflash?

So my friend brought me his pc to take a look at.
He wanted a bios reflash, so we went to Biostar's website to grab the file.
We used the bios flash utility in the bios setup to flash it, and everything looked fine. It asked us if we wanted to flash, we hit enter on Yes, and it went through and asked us if we wanted to restart, which we did.

Now it's a black screen.

Sounds like BIOS upgrade gone wrong. If it does have removable BIOS rom then the mobo can be saved by taking it to some store that does BIOS updates.

So Biostar sent me a new chip and I tossed it in
It booted but whenever I go into bios, exit, it freezes
I dont even change anything and it'll freeze

M7NCG 400 7.2 with an AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+ (I think it's a 2800+, but it's an XP-M for sure)
