i feel nVidia is really losing it in regards to drivers and such
I personally like both companies (ATI and nVidia) for different reasons but nVidia doesnt seem to be listening to people, instead of fixing the IDE driver problem, they just removed Frankly i have been very pleased with my nForce2 board and the drivers i have now (2.41 or something, the last know good update) are working flawlessly ATI, i must admit, have a very good driver update system, they only release drivers when they know they work with their beta testers and they can talk directly to someone at ATI about the Catalyst Drivers (a member at http://www.rage3d.com is a lead developer incharge of the Catalyst drivers i think or something to that effect) ATI's driver updates may be less frequent but they are almost always good and i have never had a problem with them personally I know im comparing video card drivers with motherboard drivers but many of the things ATI does nVidia should pick up Like beta testing with people in the community, only releasing updates when they know they work, and ease of driver updating and a few other things im sure nVidia and the people using the drivers would benefit from. But back to these drivers, im not even going to dl these for fear of them hacking my dll's and making my computer a steaming pile of plastic and PCB I hope nVidia lifts their game, not just for them but for us too Peace Out |
