Hi there!

What info would be really helpful is what motherboard you got. Since that is just the BIOS programs maker's name and they all are custom built for each motherboard.

Hi.

Where are you getting that mobo model from? It is the not the correct model number.

It'll be one of 2 or 3 MSI boards you have but you need to be precise or you can kill the board totally.

Run Belarc Advisor or maybe Sisoft Lite to get the motherboard details. They are both free and will give the full specification of your computer. Belarc is probably a touch better for identifying the components. Sandra comes with various additional tools. Hell...you could download them both!!

Need the motherboard model and maybe the northbridge for the correct BIOS

Should be this mobo...

MSI Product Spec.

Just click on the BIOS on the upper right and follow the instructions to find the right one.

But if you really want to be sure, open the case and have a look at the motherboard, the model nr should be written on it.

That's strange. It did work the other day, but it's not now. Doesn't matter. This KM4M-L should be your mobo. It has the VIA KM400 / VT8235Chipsets. Double check it is your board otherwise you will kill your rig. Click on the tabs up the top to download all the latest BIOS, drivers and utilities. You will also find the manual here.
