External Hard Drive just will not share on Network !!!!!

No matter what i do this drive will not share on my wireless network. Every other external hard drive i have tried has worked on my network, but this one just will not. It says that the drive is available when i click on it and then it comes up and says something about how i do not have permissions or the user name and password is not correct or something, it just doesnt make sense, there is no user name and password, so i am totally confused. Both systems are running Vista Home Premium, and i just dont get it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So you have two identical user accounts on both computers?? Since you would need to "log in" to the share with the user account of the computer that is sharing the drive, and the account has permissions to have access to that share.

It seems to me that you have set the share so that only one user account can access the share. So that's why it says that you don't have permission to access the share and the user name and password are incorrect. I think that you should set the share so that everyone can access it. You can set it in the advanced share settings.

Sorry, maybe i didnt describe this right, i have other things i am sharing on the network from the same computer. I have 2 external hard drives on the wireless network, both from the same computer, one of them can be accessed by the other computer on the newtwork and the other one cant. So there is not a user name and password issue, if one can be shared and there is another one right next to it, both can be seen from my laptop, but i can only access one. I think that is a little more descriptive, sorry. There is not a user name and password issue, i took it to a pc store i deal with and they put it on there network and it shares, i bring it home here and it will not share. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Are all of the external drives the same make/model? It might just be NTFS permissions.
