Could somebody give me a clue what the difference between MCP and MCP2 is? and also what a -T means on the end?
I realise that IGP means integrated graphics, and SPP doesn't, but I'm a bit confused as to what the difference between motherboards are on this list: http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=2839 Most of the specifications seems the same when you look at each manufacturer's website. Thanks a lot, Matt |

I've discovered that SPP stands for SYSTEM PLATFORM PROCESSORS and MCP stands for MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS PROCESSORS, but could someone enlighten me on what the 2 with MCP2 adds to the bargain?
EDIT: -T adds Firewire, SATA and SoundStorm Thankyou Last edited by Crazy Diamond; May 25, 2003 at 08:53 PM. |

Well, all the 'MCP' boards seem to have intergrated graphics, regardless of 'IGP'. And the 'MCP2' boards have no intergrated graphics except for 'IGP'. The 'T' in the 'MCP'/'MCP2' boards determines wheather or not it's the deluxe/pro model.
